GrandeSys (AquaDue) Toilet cistern with integrated sink SPARES
This is the spares listing for GrandeSys (AquaDue) Toilet cistern with integrated sink.
Spares Available:
- 2" BSP close coupling kit
- Inlet Valve
- Flush Valve
- Basin
- Tap
- Outer Cistern body (excludes basin, includes bottom screw in nut)
Please note the 2" BSP close coupling kit is not supplied with the standard Aquadue. It is offered here as an optional extra which may be used if the Aquadue is being used to replace an existing close coupled cistern.
The purpose of a conventional close coupling kit is to hold a ceramic cistern and pan together. On this plastic cistern the spigot outlet can be placed into a modern inlet to a toilet bowl. The fitting will be spigot /socket flowing under gravity i.e non pressure, the outlet is lower that the inlet and so leakage is not a risk at this junction, however a 2" donut foam seal is advised. The weight of the cistern would be transferred to the pan. The supplied wall bracket would hold it to the wall. The foam seal would ensure no leaks.
Trouble Shooting
1. The inlet is filling but the tap is not flowing.
If the inlet valve is filling and the tap is not flowing a kink in the hose from the inlet valve to the tap may have developed or the pipe has come detached from the tap base internally. Check both, either remove the kink or reinsert the hose into the tap inlet on the underside of the basin.
2. The inlet is not filling ?
Either the inlet valve is not on mains pressure or the inlet valve is blocked. The inlet valve (and tap) requires mains pressure to operate, a header tank system will not operate the inlet valve.
3. The inlet continues to fill once the cistern is full and overflow via the flush valve overflow into the pan?
This may be due to the inlet valve gland being or blocked or partially blocked with small debris and is common on many inlet valves. Glands regulate the flow in fill/inlet valves. Check the valve by removing the yellow cap on the fill valve. The float lever is attached to the fill valve via a locking pin. Remove the locking pin by pinching the tapered end and pushing outward. The gland cover is removed by rotating a quarter turn anticlockwise revealing the gland. Remove the gland and wash.
4. Water is in entering the pan continuously ?
This could be due to one of two reasons. Remove the basin by gently rocking left to right whilst lifting.
a) If the water level is high water and entering the pan via the high level overflow there is an issue with the inlet valve either the float has been set too high (it is factory set in mid position) or the gland is blocked in the open position see above (3). If the float has been set high perhaps at installation to create a large volume flush, adjust this down so the fill level is lower than the high level overflow.
b) If the water level is lower than the high level overflow the flush valve could be leaking. Specifically the flush valve plunger is not seating correctly at the end of the flush. Try cleaning the plunger seal, a small piece of debris is enough to prevent a good seal.
