Divertron 900X with Float Switch
A high quality multi-stage DAB submersible pump, the Divertron 900x (also referred to as Leader Divertron 900x) is equipped with 4 impellers and electronic flow control which automatically stops and starts the pump as needed. Automation is controlled by an increase or decrease in pressure in the system, for example, when a tap is turned on causing the water pressure to drop, the pump automatically turns on. When the tap is turned off again and the pressure resumes, the pump automatically turns off.
The 900x is designed for pumping clean water only. Any abrasives/solids present in the water will damage the impeller and the internal non return valve (NRV) so, when pumping rainwater or similar, it's highly recommended to use a pre-tank filter to help prevent this.
Manufactured from anti-corrosive and rust-proof materials and with a wear resistant shaft, the 900x is totally waterproof and suitable for use both indoors and out.
It's cooled by the water around it, making it a quiet pump when operating but because of this, the 900x must always be fully submerged when in use, to prevent it from overheating. This model is supplied with an integrated Float Switch to stop the pump automatically, whenever the surrounding water level drops below the minimum required for sufficient cooling.
As with all the Divertron models, the 1200x should never sit directly on the base of the tank unless a Floating Intake is fitted. This should be kept within 15° of vertical to prevent any sediment from entering the pump. Where a floating intake is not possible or desired, an alternative is to attach a mesh strainer to the pump inlet and suspend the pump at least 20cm above the base of the tank with a suitable lifting cable (not supplied).
A pressure vessel is highly recommended with these pumps. Fitted to the water delivery pipework (i.e. after the pump) pressure vessels act as a buffer which reduces unnecessary stop/start activity on the pump caused by leaks. This improves the energy efficiency of the pump and ultimately helps increase its lifespan.
